• Mission: Design, develop, and maintain the scalable, resilient, and performant backend systems and services that power the company’s core products.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of complex backend services and APIs for the platform.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful features.
• Develop: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and highly testable code in a primary backend language such as Java, Python, Go, or C#.
• Architect: Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future of the platform’s infrastructure and technology stack.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, foster their growth, and promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong focus on backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, including extensive work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and designing/implementing RESTful APIs or gRPC services. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is also required.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns, strong system design & architecture capabilities, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, performance tuning, and security best practices, along with open-source contributions or personal projects.
