About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our product development, driving technical decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, utilizing modern technologies and best practices to build performant, secure, and maintainable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements for our core web applications.
• Collaborate with product management and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements and design mockups into technical specifications and functional software.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and scalable code in accordance with engineering best practices and company coding standards.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in our development processes, tools, and technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and performant.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to our projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Extensive experience with at least one modern front-end framework: React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of back-end development: Node.js (preferred), Python, Java, or Go.
• Proven experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, Chai).
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Contribution to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
