What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure microservices and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead: Lead technical design discussions, propose solutions, and make architectural decisions that align with strategic goals.
• Collaborate: Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and promote best practices in software development and operational excellence.
• Resolve: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, contributing to the overall reliability, performance, and availability of our systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong focus on building scalable backend services and cloud-native applications.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, including extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and Kubernetes.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js) with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, plus experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Bonus: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, knowledge of observability tools, experience with infrastructure as code, open-source contributions, prior mentoring or project leadership, or experience with message queues.
