About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure and services. You will work on critical components that form the backbone of our product offerings, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and security. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure microservices and cloud infrastructure using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Lead technical design discussions, propose solutions, and make architectural decisions that align with long-term strategic goals and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, DevOps engineers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-quality software solutions on time.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and promote best practices in software development, including comprehensive testing, clear documentation, and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, contributing to the overall reliability, performance, and availability of our systems.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to existing systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency, reduce technical debt, and boost developer productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, cloud technologies, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to our platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on building scalable backend services and cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with services like EC2/Compute Engine, S3/Blob Storage, Lambda/Cloud Functions, RDS/Cloud SQL, VPC/Networking, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming paradigms.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), including schema design and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for automated testing and deployment.
  • Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog) for monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical projects.
  • Experience with message queues or event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub).
