What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and deploy: Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs using primary programming languages.
• Collaborate and ship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and products.
• Maintain quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring high test coverage and adherence to best practices, and participate in code reviews.
• Resolve issues: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, contributing to on-call rotations as needed to maintain system uptime.
• Influence architecture: Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for future system enhancements and scaling.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in backend software development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects, including designing and building scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based platforms.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in a modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, Node.js), demonstrable experience with scalable APIs (RESTful, gRPC, GraphQL), solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and message queues, coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with data streaming or machine learning integration, open-source contributions, or experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
