What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Develop: Architect, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using Python, Go, and related technologies.
• System Architecture: Contribute to the design and evolution of our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, at a Senior career level in backend software development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, focused on building scalable web services, with extensive experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or Go; strong understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) databases; proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services; experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and distributed system patterns.
• Bonus: Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Flink), familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), or knowledge of machine learning operationalization (MLOps) concepts.
