Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our product development team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust and scalable software solutions that align with our strategic goals. You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring high quality, performance, and maintainability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our core products and mentor junior engineers, influencing our technical direction and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software features and modules across various layers of our application stack.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, identify potential issues, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, QA, and operations, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective preventative measures.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve our development processes and product offerings.
• Contribute to the evolution of our technical architecture, advocating for scalable and resilient design patterns.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of applications through meticulous design and rigorous testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend or full-stack engineering.
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C#, Go, or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Extensive experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong understanding of API design and development (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
• Experience with performance optimization and scaling distributed systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
