The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Citigroup Inc., in an Undisclosed Location. The company’s Global Spread Products Technology Team is actively seeking an Apps Dev Sr. Program Analyst. This position is vital for the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, contributing significantly to complex enterprise software solutions. The primary focus of this role is on strategic Risk Systems for Global Spread Products, requiring robust development using modern cloud and microservices technologies within a globally distributed and dynamic work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Monitor: Control all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, providing user and operational support.
• Analyze: Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and industry standards.
• Secure: Recommend and develop security measures during post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Consult: Advise users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommending advanced programming solutions and assisting customer exposure systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Senior-level experience as an Apps Dev Sr. Program Analyst, focusing on applications development for risk technology systems.
• Experience: Solid 5+ years of experience with Java development. Hands-on experience with RESTful service implementations and building modern Spring applications using Spring Boot. Extensive experience building Distributed / Service Oriented / Microservice-style and cloud-based architectures, specifically mentioning Amazon, ECS, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes. Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonar Cube, and BitBucket. Demonstrated experience in software development SDLC following Agile methodologies. Proven track record in developing real-time low latency applications.
• Skills: Java, Microservices, Cloud Computing (AWS), Containerization (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), RESTful services, Spring Boot, Multithreading, Thread-Pools, OOP, OOAD, SDLC (Agile), storage architectures, Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonar Cube, BitBucket, message driven architectures.
• Bonus: Prior Investment Banking Risk system experience is highly desirable. Experience in message broker systems. Exposure with Clojure will be a big plus.
