Sr Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist | Northrop Grumman

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Northrop Grumman, located remotely supporting San Diego, CA. Northrop Grumman builds revolutionary systems that impact lives globally, from advancements in aviation to space exploration, and delivers secure, mission-enabling solutions for global security. This role is pivotal in leading proposal efforts for the Global Supply Chain organization, ensuring the successful integration of advanced battle management and cyber solutions that protect the U.S. and its global allies. The position requires a problem-solving individual who can lead and coordinate tasks within established constraints, while adapting to evolving requirements.

• Team: Supporting the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization within the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division, Mission Systems sector
• Mission: Lead, coordinate, and execute assigned Global Supply Chain tasks within established constraints, while also being flexible to ever evolving proposal requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Development: Develop supply chain strategy and lead activities for Global Supply Chain in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process.
• Acquisition Management: Manage Global Supply Chain activities for acquisition opportunities, coordinating interdepartmental activity, facilitating communication, and integrating efforts across all GSC functions.
• Planning & Analysis: Participate in make/buy processes, long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, and analyze supply/demand requirements.
• Proposal Leadership: Lead supply chain proposal activities, accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, and risk/opportunity management.
• Cost Integration: Create and release Request for Quotes to the supply base based on program requirements, coordinating with Engineering, Program Management, and other teams to integrate costs into the Bill of Materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Direct experience working in Supply Chain, experience in project management, and experience with Risk and Opportunity Management processes.
• Skills: Experience with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Office, AI, and metrics management, problem-solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management, US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Bonus: Active Secret Security Clearance, Master’s Degree, experience in supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling, experience with Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITAR, experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s), experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements, previous proposal generation/evaluation experience, experience in stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organization, and experience influencing team members.
