Senior Manager, Trust Accounting | ADP

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person – Canada (Ontario) – Etobicoke
• Team: Trust Accounting, part of the International Money Movement Shared Services organization, reporting to the Senior Director, Shared Services.
• Mission: Responsible for the reliable operation and ongoing management of ADP’s proprietary payment services application, business resiliency, client funds accounting, and payment services regulatory compliance for International Money Movement globally.
• Tech Stack: ADP’s proprietary payment services application, MS Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Leadership: Lead large-scale initiatives to drive process improvement, standardization, and operational resilience and scalability across international money movement, translating strategic priorities into executable plans with measurable outcomes.
• Compliance Governance: Ensure compliance with SOX, SOC1, operational controls, and payment services and safeguarding regulatory requirements in all operating units, leading the design and enhancement of governance frameworks including ADP Canada’s RPAA Compliance Framework.
• People Leadership: Lead and develop a diverse team across multiple locations and countries, setting clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards while fostering a collaborative culture and building a talent pipeline.
• Risk Management: Own International Money Movement business resiliency and disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing to ensure plans remain aligned with risk-tolerance requirements, and identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Strategic Influence: Act as a strategic partner to influence senior leadership stakeholders and provide recommendations, representing Shared Services and Trust Accounting with credibility to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with a post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent experience; with in-depth experience leading complex teams or functions in regulated financial or payment services.
• Experience: 8+ years of business experience with increasing scope in complex enterprise and cross-functional initiatives, including 5+ years leading teams in a risk-sensitive environment, and demonstrated success leading managers and senior professionals.
• Skills: Proven ability to manage formal control frameworks (SOC1, SOX), operational control environments, and compliance programs; executive-level communication and presentation skills; risk-based decision making in ambiguous situations; ability to influence without direct authority.
• Bonus: Preferred MBA or recognized accounting designation (CPA); experience in segregated funds or regulated financial services environments.
