Senior Manager Process Engineering Films | Bosch
The Tone:

Bosch is a leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, operating fully automated wafer fabrication facilities in cleanroom environments. This Senior Manager position is crucial for leading the development and maintenance of critical thin-film processes, directly impacting production efficiency, quality, and the achievement of factory goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead the FILMS process group responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing processes for CVD, PVD, CMP, Plating, and thin wafer technologies within a fully automated cleanroom wafer fabrication environment.
• Build and lead the FILMS area, taking full responsibility for process technology and ensuring the timely achievement of “Ready for Production” (RfP) milestones, with your team maintaining process parameters continuously (24/7).
• Successfully implement specifications to achieve overall factory goals, define group-internal controlling mechanisms, and identify deviations proactively before they impact production.
• Continuously strive for optimal qualitative and economic outcomes by actively driving performance improvement and cost efficiency initiatives, never settling for the status quo.
• Oversee your team in monitoring, reporting, and ensuring adherence to all equipment and process parameters, and define appropriate countermeasures for any identified deviations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Semiconductor Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Process/Production Engineering, or a comparable field. This is a Senior Manager level role.
• Experience: Minimum five years of industry experience, with broad knowledge of 200mm/300mm semiconductor production and relevant leadership experience. Very strong knowledge of production control, production planning, process technology, process engineering, and maintenance is essential.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration abilities, coupled with a high degree of self-reflection, self-management, and pronounced customer orientation, along with a “sense of urgency.” Demonstrated independent, results-oriented work ethic, a focus on highest reliability, strong cost awareness, and fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Bonus: Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
