Senior Estate Planner | Neuberger Berman
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Neuberger Berman, within one of its largest Private Asset Management teams. Neuberger Berman is a company focused on wealth advisory, providing comprehensive financial services to high-net-worth clients. This role is crucial for advising complex client relationships on sophisticated trust and estate planning, tax strategy, pre-liquidity events, and charitable giving. The Senior Estate Planner is responsible for delivering tailored, comprehensive advice, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the implementation of wealth and investment strategies.

• Mission: Advise high-net-worth clients on all aspects of trust and estate planning, tax strategy, pre-liquidity events, and charitable giving.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Advisory: Advise clients on trust and estate planning, tax strategy, pre-liquidity planning, and philanthropy in partnership with portfolio managers and the wealth planning team.
• Strategy Delivery: Assist in the delivery of holistic wealth strategy services to help clients achieve their financial goals and enhance their overall experience.
• Relationship Management: Focus on deepening and retaining the largest, most complex client relationships, while also supporting business development through referrals and networking.
• Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with the portfolio management team and other specialists to ensure integrated, client-focused communication and participate in client events to strengthen relationships.
• Performance Tracking: Track and report on key metrics including client retention, net asset flows, diversification, and client engagement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor (J.D.) required, with a background in law and/or wealth management preferred, focused on senior-level trust and estate planning.
• Experience: 7+ years’ experience in trust and estate planning, tax strategy, or related fields, with proven ability to manage complex, high-net-worth relationships.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated expertise in providing direct trust, estate, and philanthropic advisory, and strong analytical capabilities with a metrics-driven approach.
• Bonus: An LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
