Senior Business Manager | Microsoft

As a Senior Business Manager, you will serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader, simplifying complexity and accelerating business outcomes for the US East Sales Unit within the Small Medium Enterprises and Channel organization. This role enables leaders to operate effectively through disciplined planning, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration, shaping the future of business.

• Mission: Simplify complexity, accelerate business outcomes, and enable leaders to operate effectively through disciplined planning, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Operations: Collaborate with stakeholders to supervise the creation and implementation of execution plans, ensuring alignment with leadership strategy and business priorities.
• Financial Management: Design and manage organizational budgets in alignment with forecasting plans, tracking financial progress, and ensuring spend remains within budget.
• Leadership Enablement: Drive prioritization and decision-making for leaders by facilitating the team’s rhythm of business, coordinating planning processes, and managing key business events.
• Organizational Health: Support a healthy scorecard for the team/organization, promote culture initiatives aligned to People Strategy, and partner on D&I plans, communications, and action items.
• Strategic Programs: Lead cross-team projects and programs, including executive-level initiatives, leadership offsites, communications, and employee engagement efforts, to foster a high-performing culture.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or other business-related roles.
• Skills: Business planning and execution, operational rigor and process optimization, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Bonus: Demonstrated expertise in Sales Operations and Sales Excellence, understanding of Rhythm of Business (RoB) frameworks and business cadences, proven ability to lead cross-functional programs spanning executive communications, leadership offsites, employee engagement, recognition, and organizational planning in support of a cohesive, high-performing culture, and a data-driven approach with examples of tangible outcomes.
