What You’ll Actually Do
• System Development: Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Code Excellence: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring high standards of quality, testability, and performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Architectural Leadership: Participate actively in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of the backend infrastructure, evaluating and recommending new technologies.
• Technical Mentorship: Perform code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing, troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, and mentor junior engineers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, indicating a senior career level in backend software development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, specifically building and scaling complex systems.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language such as Go, Python, Java, Node.js, or C#; extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services; deep understanding of distributed systems principles, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development; solid knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis); experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure; proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes); strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Bonus: Experience with performance optimization and scaling techniques for high-traffic applications.
