Job Description:

Shutts & Bowen is seeking a Senior Associate or Partner to join its Private Client Services Practice Group in the Miami office. The ideal candidate will possess 5-15 years of relevant experience in the following areas:

• Estate Planning
• Estate and Gift Taxation
• Estate and Trust Administration
• Providing related services to individuals, charitable organizations, foundations, and corporate fiduciaries (such as banks and trust companies).

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with a Partner who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts, and Estates.
• Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to estate planning, taxation, and administration.
• Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Administer estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize estate and gift tax liabilities.
• Represent clients in probate court proceedings.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Private Client Services Practice Group.

Qualifications:

• 5-15 years of experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
International estate planning experience is a plus.
LLM in Tax or Estate Planning preferred, but not required.
• Must be, or be willing to become, a member of the Florida Bar.
