Transaction / Investment Banking Senior Associate (M&A) | MFM Search LLC
The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-office role with MFM Search LLC, located in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. MFM Search LLC provides advisory services to clients preparing to enter the mergers and acquisitions market. This Senior Associate position is pivotal for preparing clients for transactions by collecting and analyzing sensitive data, identifying risks, and valuing businesses. The role ensures clients receive comprehensive support and accurate expectations throughout the M&A process.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Execution: Support senior bankers through all stages of M&A deal execution, including data gathering, marketing materials, buyer outreach, and data room management.
• Client Preparation: Collect and analyze comprehensive client business information, preparing detailed financial statements and business intelligence reports to highlight strengths and opportunities.
• Market Engagement: Develop and update marketing materials for the investment community and engage with private equity funds, family offices, and corporate acquirors.
• Strategic Advisory: Provide consultative guidance on accounting, financial, and valuation matters, while also identifying risks and adjusting client expectations.
• Origination Support: Assist senior bankers with origination activities, including pitch presentation preparation, industry analysis, and company strategic positioning.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration or advanced degree in Finance, Marketing, or Accounting, or an unrelated degree with significant work experience in these fields. This role requires an experienced professional who has completed analyst years and a full analyst training program.
• Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of middle market investment banking experience, preferably from an M&A or leverage finance product team, or an industry coverage team such as industrials, business services, consumer, or tech.
• Skills: Proficient in financial modeling and financial analysis using Excel, complemented by exceptional PowerPoint presentation skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business periodicals, financial statements, and contracts. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups. Proficiency in using modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and maintaining CRM systems. Must obtain a Florida real-estate sales associate license within 90 days of employment.
• Bonus: Prior experience in professional business writing, including the creation of business plans and information memorandums.
