What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee the capacity and fulfillment of Flexport’s charter flights and Blocked Space Agreements with carriers.
• Optimize: Consolidate shipments to maximize Flexport’s margin and ensure all customer service level requirements are met.
• Coordinate: Collaborate closely with internal Air Pricing and Operations teams, external carriers, and terminals for seamless shipment movement.
• Execute: Manage day-to-day air freight operations, including maintaining the Consol Plan and resolving exceptional cases efficiently.
• Innovate: Contribute to projects focused on enhancing the Air Planning Tool and improving overall work processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience in air freight forwarding or logistics.
• Experience: Proven track record of success in an operational or planning role within the logistics industry.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical background with mastery of tools such as Excel and Looker, and the ability to combine strategic vision with effective ground floor execution.
• Bonus: Courage to challenge existing practices when logic and reason dictate a better approach.
