BTI Security is seeking dedicated and qualified Security Professionals to join our team. Job Skills / Responsibilities

  • Patrolling and Monitoring: Regularly patrol and monitor exterior and community areas on premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Access Control: Manage access control at entrances and exits, overseeing the arrival and departure of employees and visitors.
  • Surveillance: Monitor surveillance cameras for any disruptions, suspicious behavior, or unlawful activities.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed and accurate reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.
  • Equipment Usage: Demonstrate knowledge and effective use of security equipment, including magnetometers and X-ray machines.
  • Communication: Utilize provided communication devices, such as two-way radios, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Emergency Response: Leverage excellent listening and service skills in emergency response and evaluation procedures.
  • First Aid & CPR: Be prepared to perform CPR or first aid when needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Citizenship/Residency: Be a United States citizen; or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard).
  • Identification: Possess a Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individual’s name and social security number.
  • Experience/Education Combination: Have verifiable documentation of one of the following experience and education levels:
    • A minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience OR one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department in a municipality, state, or federal law enforcement department within the US.
    • A minimum of two (2) years as a member of any US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge.
    • Received, at minimum, either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Language Proficiency: Shall fluently speak, read, and comprehend English, and be able to compose written reports in English.
  • Industry Knowledge: Possess strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Must have a customer service-driven mindset and the ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Trainability & Proficiency: Must be trainable and able to display proficiency in firearms (pistol), intermediate weapons (OC spray and expandable baton), and First Aid, CPR, AED.

Physical Demands

Security Professionals (PSOs) shall be physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties, which include:

  • Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to twelve (12) hours per day, either indoors or outdoors.
  • Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without sitting, eating, or receiving a break.
  • Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations.

Additional Information / Benefits

This is a Full-Time position with opportunities for 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and Weekends. The job reports to the Operations Manager.
