The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Mission: Protect the public, staff, and property, preserve peace and order, and ensure the safety and welfare of all individuals and Wellstar Health System property.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Enforcement: Enforce WellStar Health System rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain peace and order.
• Documentation: Document observations, hazards, and incidents, taking immediate corrective action and reporting unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations, providing escorts and assisting facility personnel as needed.
• Customer Service: Serve as a visible deterrent to crime and suspicious activities while providing excellent customer service and effective communication to diverse groups.
• Loss Prevention: Apply working knowledge of Loss Prevention principles and crime scene protection, participating in drills, training, and professional development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED; active law enforcement officer with jurisdiction upon hire.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of law enforcement experience, currently employed in good standing with a police, sheriff’s, or other law enforcement agency.
• Skills: Strong writing skills for comprehensive reports; excellent public relations skills for professional and tactful communication; ability to observe, listen attentively, and apply problem-solving skills independently under stressful conditions.
