The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at GlobalFoundries, a leading manufacturer of essential semiconductors that enable AI at scale from the cloud to the physical world. As an intern, you will contribute to the company’s financial operations, playing a part in meeting crucial SEC reporting deliverables. This role is vital for ensuring financial accuracy and providing insights that support strategic corporate decisions within the growing semiconductor industry. You will experience one-on-one mentorship and work assignments prioritizing your growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Roll forward all external reporting documents for upcoming quarters.
• Verification: Review all documents to ensure prior period numbers are accurate and reliable.
• Streamlining: Use the data from the cash flow process to streamline reporting.
• Analysis: Assist with the preparation of cash flow and balance sheet analytics.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance by analyzing and reporting on variances from the financial plan.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited program, and must be at least a sophomore at the time of application.
• Experience: Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing; ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Skills: Detailed working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint applications; strong written and verbal English communication skills; strong planning and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Prior related internship or co-op experience; demonstrated prior leadership experience in academic or professional settings; project management skills including the ability to innovate and execute on solutions; strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies.
