Search Engine Marketing Intern | Sandhills Global
The Tone:
This is an internship at Sandhills Global, located in a local office requiring on-site presence. The company focuses on managing marketing campaigns for various domestic and global brands, alongside supporting sales for premium hosted websites. This role is crucial for executing diverse digital marketing strategies, driving business objectives through effective campaign management, and providing actionable insights to sales and management teams. The intern will be an integral part of enhancing the digital presence and sales performance of the company’s offerings.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $20 hourly
• Mission: To manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, support the sales team with expert digital marketing recommendations, and analyze market data to achieve business objectives for Sandhills Global’s brands and hosted websites.
• Tech Stack: Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Search Console, email marketing or marketing automation platform, Facebook Ads Manager, website analytics platforms, search and social ad manager platforms
What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Management: Manage a variety of marketing campaigns for both domestic and global brands, encompassing paid search marketing through search engines, paid campaigns and postings across social media, and dedicated email marketing initiatives.
• Sales Enablement Support: Actively support the sales team by offering guidance and strategic recommendations for the digital marketing of premium hosted websites, involving participation in conference calls and direct customer visits.
• Ad & Audience Development: Take responsibility for creating compelling advertisements and developing targeted audiences precisely designed to meet specific business objectives.
• Performance Measurement & Reporting: Diligently maintain ongoing campaigns, accurately measure their success and overall performance, and clearly communicate outcomes and results to both coworkers and management.
• Market & Search Analysis: Conduct thorough general market analysis, perform detailed data analysis, build comprehensive reports using Google Analytics, and contribute to search optimization efforts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with general marketing experience, specifically demonstrating expertise in social media and email marketing.
• Experience: Stable and progressive work history; capable of working independently while also effectively communicating within a team environment.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detailed tracking and follow-up; ability to work effectively under deadlines and as part of a team; flexibility to respond to emergencies; excellent oral and written communication skills; results-oriented and open to change; professional appearance and demeanor.
• Bonus: Preferred experience using various marketing tools, including website analytics platforms and search and social ad manager platforms; ideal candidates would be fluent with applications such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Search Console, an email marketing or marketing automation platform, and Facebook Ads Manager.
