SAP iXp Intern – SAP Research Operations Specialist Intern | SAP
The Tone:
This is an internship at SAP, located in Tempe, Arizona. SAP is a builder in enterprise resource planning software and end-to-end business application software, touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce. This role is crucial for enabling efficient, high-quality survey research at scale, serving research teams across the company by supporting platform governance, data accuracy, dashboarding, and operational workflows. The TL;DR

• Mission: Help power SAP’s survey research ecosystem by enabling efficient, high-quality survey research at scale.
• Tech Stack: Qualtrics XM Suite, Excel/VBA, SPSS, SAS, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib/Seaborn
What You’ll Actually Do
• Platform Governance: Review and approve daily access requests for Qualtrics, managing user permissions, lifecycle, naming conventions, and compliance checks.
• Reporting & Automation: Maintain and update the Survey Overview Dashboard weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, and help streamline reporting workflows.
• Internal Communications: Prepare and distribute the bimonthly Surveys by the Numbers newsletter, highlighting research impact stories and SAP-wide survey metrics.
• Support Triage: Categorize and respond to inbox requests for platform access, permissions, methodology questions, tool guidance, and research consultations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with platform administrators, research partners, satellite team owners, and operational stakeholders across global and regional teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (completed or ongoing) in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Statistics, Survey Research, Marketing, or related social sciences. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Prior experience in survey research, project management, and data analysis.
• Skills: Expertise in Qualtrics XM Suite (dashboards, survey design, text analytics, workflows, automation), strong problem-solving and synthesis abilities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Familiarity with BI & analytics tools like Excel/VBA, SPSS, and SAS, experience with data transformation methods, and proficiency in data visualization tools such as PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib/Seaborn.
