SAP iXp Intern – Full-Stack Developer | SAP

The Tone:
This is an SAP Internship Experience Program (iXp) role for a Full-Stack Developer, located in Palo Alto with a hybrid work model. What You’ll Actually Do
• Application Design and Development: Assist in the comprehensive design, development, and implementation of SAP-based full-stack applications. This includes managing both front-end user interfaces, back-end logic, and seamless integration with database systems.
• Data Storage and Analytics: Work directly with SAP HANA Cloud to handle data storage, advanced processing, and sophisticated analytics, forming a core part of the application’s data layer.
• User Interface Development: Utilize SAP Fiori or SAPUI5 to develop and create responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring an optimal user experience across various devices.
• Backend Logic and Service Integration: Implement robust back-end logic using modern full-stack frameworks or languages like Node.js/Java, in conjunction with various SAP services to build out application functionality.
• Integration, Testing, and Collaboration: Integrate third-party APIs and work effectively within the broader SAP ecosystem to establish seamless data flows and expand functionality. Participate actively in code reviews, thorough debugging processes, and rigorous testing to guarantee high-quality performance and reliable functionality. Additionally, collaborate with cross-functional product, design, and other development teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field. Candidates must have already graduated or be scheduled to graduate within the next few weeks of summer, as this position is specifically for a student career status.
• Experience: Possess strong full-stack development expertise with practical exposure to data management, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts. Prior work experience is considered an added advantage for this role.
• Skills: A foundational understanding of key SAP technologies, including SAP HANA, SAPUI5, or SAP Fiori; proven ability to implement and work with RESTful APIs, particularly within SAP ecosystems; the mandatory ability to work full-time for 40 hours per week in the Palo Alto office.
• Bonus: Practical experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP HANA Cloud; familiarity with modern front-end development frameworks; knowledge of leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; any relevant project experience demonstrating full-stack development capabilities.
