SAP iXp Intern – Data & AI | SAP
The Tone:
This is an internship at SAP, located in Newtown Square, PA. SAP is a global company that helps the world run better by touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, known for its leadership in end-to-end business application software and related services for database, analytics, intelligent technologies, and experience management. This role matters as it supports the Americas Data Architect program, improving customer adoption tracking, KPI reporting, and operational efficiency through program management, data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled operations. The intern will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the customer lifecycle.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Contract (6 months, extendable), 20-40 hours/week
• Location: In-person, Newtown Square, PA
• Team: Americas Data & AI team, which drives customer adoption and consumption of SAP’s Business Data Cloud, AI, analytics, and data management portfolio.
• Mission: This role aims to scale the Data Architect program and enhance customer adoption tracking, KPI reporting, and operational efficiency through program management, data analytics, automation, and AI.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data reporting tools, AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Power BI, Tableau, scripting, automation, AI-assisted productivity tools.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Americas Data Architect program.
• Automate: Implement automation for KPI tracking, reporting, and dashboard preparation related to DA growth, adoption, and consumption metrics.
• Analyze: Leverage AI and Large Language Models to structure account data, generate insights, and identify high-potential customer opportunities.
• Create: Develop executive-ready summaries, reports, and customer success stories.
• Improve: Standardize program management processes, build lightweight automation, and develop AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or JD/PhD program, with a minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Relevant exposure or a basic understanding of AI/LLMs, automation tools, or data analytics concepts, coupled with a strong interest in AI, automation, analytics, and program management.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools, alongside strong analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
• Bonus: Exposure to SAP technologies, cloud platforms, or enterprise software environments; familiarity with dashboarding or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau; or experience with scripting, automation, or AI-assisted productivity tools.
