The Tone:
This is an entry-level sales position at an automotive retail company, focused on supporting the DIY business. This role is crucial for ensuring customers receive excellent service and accurate part sourcing, which directly contributes to the store’s sales and operational success. It requires individuals with a foundational understanding of automotive systems and a commitment to maintaining high service and inventory standards for the company’s DIY clientele.

• Mission: To support the DIY business and achieve sales and service objectives by providing excellent customer experiences and maintaining operational standards.
• Tech Stack: store systems, delivery board system, POS, Parts lookup systems, testing and diagnostic equipment.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers during in-store visits and phone calls.
• Sales & Service Execution: Achieve personal sales goals, contribute to the store’s overall sales objectives, and perform DIY services like battery testing and installation, and wiper installs.
• Inventory Management: Execute critical inventory processes including truck put away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock maintenance.
• Operational Standards: Maintain the store’s product presentation and operational standards, encompassing cleanliness, facing, and dusting.
• Part Delivery: Safely deliver parts to customers as needed, utilizing basic driving and navigation skills.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level sales background with good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and basic part knowledge.
• Experience: 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, consistently providing superior customer experiences.
• Skills: Operating POS, Parts lookup systems, and inventory systems; utilizing testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service; communicating effectively in English (written and verbal) to build customer relationships; accurate basic math skills; and possessing basic driving and navigation ability with safety knowledge.
• Bonus: Fleet safety certification is preferred. The ability to speak Spanish is considered a plus.
