The company offering this internship is Pacers Sports & Entertainment, an organization encompassing various sports and entertainment entities. These include the Indiana Pacers (NBA), Indiana Fever (WNBA), Noblesville Boom, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse (a multi-purpose arena). The intern will be supporting the digital marketing efforts across all these business units, specifically within the Customer Engagement team.

Job Description, Detailed

This is an internship opportunity for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intern for the Fall 2025 term, running from September to December. The position is on-site in Indianapolis, IN, with an anticipated time commitment of approximately 30 hours per week, requiring the intern to work and report to the Indianapolis office 3 to 4 days per week.

The intern will report directly to the Marketing Cloud Manager as a vital member of the Customer Engagement team. The primary goal of this internship is to provide a current student with hands-on experience in email and SMS marketing, specifically utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The role involves supporting various business units within Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting all business units (Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Noblesville Boom, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse) within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
Building out email campaigns, creating analytic reports, and developing dashboards.
• Assisting with the creation of Journey Builder workflows and working within Automation Studio.
• Aiding in the development of the SMS subscriber list and associated engagement initiatives.
Identifying cross-channel trends and analyzing engagement behavior.
• Providing support for various projects within the CRM as required.
• Performing other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education and Experience:
• Currently a junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or a related major.
• Possess a basic understanding of digital marketing efforts.
• Have basic knowledge of email, SMS, and push notifications.
• Demonstrate exposure to Salesforce, including Marketing Cloud, Sales/Service Cloud, or Trailhead.
• Be organized and highly self-motivated.
Language Skills:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports.
• Strong ability to write reports and correspondence with extremely high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to communicate and sell ideas to peers and executives, and to create and deliver presentations to all levels of employees and upper management.
Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to apply mathematical operations for ROI analyses and to present reports effectively.
Reasoning Ability:
• Capable of defining problems, collecting information, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and making sound recommendations.
Problem-solving Requirements:
• Must be able to see projects through to completion using creative, logical, and technical approaches.
• Must consistently take initiative to learn new technology and find solutions for existing challenges.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

The role primarily involves typical office work, requiring sitting, standing, walking, using a telephone, computer, and engaging in speaking, hearing, and writing. The office environment usually has a moderate noise level, while the Fieldhouse/game environment can be loud. The stress level may vary and become high during certain periods of the year.
