Sr. Field Sales Training Manager (Long-Term Care) | Neurocrine Biosciences

• Mission: To strengthen field sales effectiveness and capabilities in the Long-Term Care marketplace through strategic training design, development, and execution, especially for new product launches.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Drive the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of multiple training curricula and materials, including launch workshops and LTC account management capabilities.
• Launch Leadership: Lead sales training efforts with Marketing and cross-functional groups to develop comprehensive materials for new product launches and sales tools.
• Meeting Execution: Develop and execute training-related aspects for national and regional sales meetings, including establishing objectives and creating engagement techniques.
• Onboarding & Improvement: Lead the onboarding of new field sales personnel, incorporating LTC marketplace fundamentals and customer engagement best practices, while continuously improving training based on business needs and feedback.
• Coaching & Assessment: Manage personnel assessments, strategic training initiatives, and coaching for new hires and regional field trainers, focusing on building account management capabilities in LTC environments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BS/BA degree in business or a technical field with 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including a significant portion in an internal pharmaceutical sales training role. Demonstrated Long Term Care (LTC) experience and meaningful account management experience within LTC are required.
• Experience: Proven experience with product launches is required. Significant experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts. A Master’s degree in business or a technical field with 6+ years of similar experience, including LTC and LTC account management, is preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to take an independent stance with cross-functional stakeholders and translate LTC insights into actionable field training. Demonstrated ability to interpret data, account-level metrics, and market dynamics into business recommendations. Proven facilitation skills, with the ability to coach field teams on strategic account management and effective engagement within LTC environments.
• Bonus: CNS and/or psychiatry/anti-psychotic experience is a plus, as is sales management experience.
