Sales & Marketing Intern | Starbeam
The Tone:
This is an unpaid Sales & Marketing Growth internship at Starbeam, primarily remote with required in-person meetings with your campus team to connect with student leaders at your school. Starbeam is an AI-powered wellness startup currently in stealth mode, focused on preparing society for the disruptive social upheavals that AI will soon unleash, such as mass job displacement, negative health impacts, and an increase in mental illnesses. The company plans to be a dominant AI presence when it officially launches in Fall 2026. This role is crucial for launching our free agentic AI consumer app on US college campuses in Summer 2026 and Fall 2026, and subsequently supporting the rollout of our enterprise AI services to mid-sized and large businesses. Interns will contribute directly to Starbeam’s growth and brand establishment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales & Content Creation: Develop and customize engaging sales presentations and scripts utilizing various AI tools to effectively communicate Starbeam’s value. You will also represent Starbeam through original content creation, including short-form video, social media posts, and written features in your school newspaper or campus media.
• Outreach & Relationship Building: Implement both warm and cold outreach strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as student organizations, club leaders, and social media influencers across college campuses.
• Market Research & Data Management: Conduct thorough web research and social media analysis to identify potential influencers and leaders. Additionally, you will be responsible for populating and managing CRM databases and prospect profiles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• SEO & Brand Visibility: Craft articles and compelling online content about Starbeam with a focus on search engine optimization, aiming to ensure the brand surfaces prominently when individuals search for AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
• Professional Development: Proactively take free online courses to become certified in essential AI tools and gain valuable expertise in HubSpot sales and marketing platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A current college student majoring in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Communications, or other related fields. Exceptions will be made for high school students who can demonstrate an extraordinary level of interest and capability.
• Experience: Able to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week, recognizing that some weeks may require more or less time, and commit to a minimum 2-month engagement with the company.
• Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to producing original content without relying solely on AI; strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to make new connections and grow a professional network; and a clear interest in sales and marketing as a possible career path.
