Sales And Leadership Trainee | Hajoca Corporation
The Tone:
This is a full-time trainee position at Covenant Plumbing Supply, a Profit Center of Hajoca Corporation, located in Fayetteville, GA. Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, founded in 1858. The company operates on principles of “Service, Integrity, Reliability,” with a decentralized structure where each location functions as a small business. This role is designed to develop future leaders, providing comprehensive exposure to all aspects of the business and investing in the trainee’s long-term career in sales, operations, or management.

• Team: Covenant Plumbing Supply Profit Center, reporting to an assigned Profit Center Manager.
• Mission: To develop future leaders by providing comprehensive exposure and training across sales, operations, and management within the company’s decentralized business model.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), applicable software systems and technology used in day-to-day business operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Learn about and perform work related to business operations such as receiving and shipping material, processing returned goods, and making deliveries.
• Counter Sales: Gain experience working in counter sales, including assisting customers, processing sales orders, providing reliable product information, and maintaining the display area.
• Sales Development: Learn about and gain experience in sales, completing tasks related to pricing and margin management, bids, quotes, product procurement, and job scheduling.
• Relationship Building: Develop relationships with vendors and participate in joint sales calls with outside salespersons to understand customer needs.
• Career Pathing: Engage in an in-depth career discussion with your assigned Profit Center Manager to determine and pursue a long-term career path within the business.
The Must-Haves
• Background: College degree or equivalent experience; Entry-Level.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a proper and valid driver’s license, and have a driving record meeting company policy criteria for company business.
• Skills: Ability to build positive working relationships with co-workers and trust with customers; excellent communication and listening skills; ability to adapt quickly to changes; high level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to prioritize work projects and multi-task; ability to learn and operate applicable software systems; ability to safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment; proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; ability to perform basic arithmetic; effective use of Microsoft Office software.
• Bonus: Ability to build influential relationships with key vendor partners through open and interactive communication; ability to persuade; ability to quickly gain knowledge of products sold; demonstrated awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement, acting independently to increase skills and knowledge.
