Job Description

This posting is for a Sales Leadership Development Intern position with Breakthru Beverage Group, located in their Washington, DC Market.

Time Type & Duration:
The internship is a full-time, 10-week program, scheduled from June 2026 through August 2026. Interns are required to commit 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Program Overview:
The Summer Sales Leadership Development Internship Program offers college juniors a comprehensive look into the Beverage Alcohol Industry, with a particular focus on the Distribution tier of the business. As an intern, participants will have the opportunity to:
Sharpen their leadership skills.
Tackle real-world business challenges.
Collaborate with top leaders in the industry.
Network with executives and key leaders.
• Participate in experiential learning and social events alongside other interns and leadership development professionals.

Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking the next generation of diverse problem solvers eager to drive change within the industry.

Job Responsibilities:
Interns will gain hands-on experience through various business-critical projects, which include:
• Engaging in data analysis and strategy development.
Collaborating with cross-functional team members across departments such as sales, field marketing, and finance.
Leading the creation and execution of business analysis and sales strategy related projects aimed at driving business growth.
• Working closely with commercial sales leadership and their teams to ensure effective communication, timely and complete project delivery, and future execution of project recommendations.
Partnering with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional departments to identify new business opportunities.
• Undertaking other assigned projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Candidates for this internship must meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
• Have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate natural curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the capability to engage and influence a diverse set of colleagues and customers to achieve positive business outcomes.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or a related field.
Interested in pursuing a career path in Sales Leadership or Field Marketing.
Must be 21 years of age at the time of the internship.
• Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• Able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management abilities.
• Capable of communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Competencies:
• The intern will be accountable for meeting their own targets, with work being reviewed periodically.
• Problems encountered in this role will generally be defined, repetitive, and routine, with readily available solutions.
