Sales Intern | Faurecia
The Tone:
This is a year-round internship at Faurecia, located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. • Role: Internship
• Type: Year-round
• Location: In-person, Auburn Hills, MI
• Team: Commercial Excellence Lab, a small team within Sales in the Clarion Electronics division.
• Mission: Solve complex commercial and cross-functional problems by analyzing processes, identifying improvements, and implementing practical solutions.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Power BI or similar visualization tools, Python, SQL, other analytical tools, Automation tools, Artificial intelligence applications.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Understand Operations: Participate in recurring sales activities to learn about the business, its customers, and core processes.
• Analyze Processes: Observe and map commercial and cross-functional workflows, analyzing data to identify inefficiencies, delays, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop Solutions: Create practical tools, models, dashboards, and process enhancements, including exploring how AI and other technologies can improve decision quality.
• Collaborate & Implement: Work with different functions to test proposed solutions, measure their impact, and adjust based on feedback to drive successful implementation.
• Present Findings: Prepare and lead workshops to share observations, findings, and recommendations, helping teams make faster and better-informed decisions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, economics, physics, computer science, business, statistics, engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: No prior internship or sales experience is required.
• Skills: Enjoy solving complex problems, comfortable working with incomplete or imperfect data, able to communicate complex ideas simply, willingness to understand detailed operational work, and effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Bonus: Experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, automation tools, artificial intelligence applications, or statistical, financial, or economic analysis.
