Sales Development Program – Architectural Track (Midwest/Indiana) | Allegion

The Tone:
This is a 12-month rotational training and development program at Allegion, located remotely with significant training modules in Denver, CO, and focused on the Midwest/Indiana region. Allegion, a global organization with over 14,000 employees and more than 40 brands, is dedicated to pioneering safety and security solutions around the doorway and beyond, with products sold in 130 countries. This program is specifically designed to enable individuals with no prior selling or security hardware knowledge to succeed in the evolving security product market, guiding them through a mix of classroom, field, office, and factory settings. The program is set to begin in June 2027, and upon successful completion, participants will transition into a full-time sales role. What You’ll Actually Do
• Training Engagement: Fully engage in the Sales Development Program – Architectural Track (SDP-AT) to comprehensively increase knowledge about the industry, Allegion customers, products, and processes through varied learning environments.
• Product & Industry Immersion: Participate in a 6-month product and industry training module on location at the Training Facility in Denver, CO, learning from industry experts side-by-side with other program employees, with corporate housing and temporary transportation provided.
• Architectural Services Training: Engage in a 3-month immersive architectural services training program curriculum in your local market with the architectural team to further knowledge about Allegion customers, products, and processes.
• Field Sales Exposure: Participate in a 3-month field training rotation, gaining exposure to each of Allegion’s field selling teams outside of the architectural team, coordinating and conducting joint sales calls, and representing products at local security tradeshows.
• Relationship Building & Tool Utilization: Obtain a deep understanding of customers within your trade area, build relationships with decision makers, and learn to utilize Allegion tools and resources, such as Dynamics CRM, Overtur, and PowerBI data analytics, to gather and maintain project information.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Marketing preferred. Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States; sponsorship for employment visa status is not provided.
• Experience: No prior selling or security hardware knowledge required, as the program provides comprehensive training including a 6-month product and industry module, 8-week sales skills course, and 3-month architectural and field rotations.
• Skills: Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude, detail-oriented with high organization and time management skills, proficient with MS Office tools, excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing skills, and a bias for action.
• Bonus: Ability to travel up to 20%.
