Job Description
The Sales Intern supports a Development Manager by engaging in various tasks crucial to the sales cycle. This role offers a hands-on learning experience in sales processes, focusing on lead generation, market analysis, and client engagement, while also assisting with the preparation of essential sales materials.
Core Responsibilities
• Client Outreach: Actively engage with prospective clients through making calls, sending professional emails, and efficiently scheduling meetings to initiate and nurture relationships.
• Sales Support: Assist in the creation and preparation of various sales materials, presentations, and proposals. This also includes maintaining accurate sales records and contributing to the overall organization of sales-related documentation.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough analysis of target markets, gather comprehensive information on prospective clients, and identify new sponsorship or business opportunities to inform sales strategies.
• Learning & Development: Actively participate in hands-on projects to gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of sales processes and strategies.
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a Bachelor’s degree program, with a preference for Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Communication: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent time management abilities and a proven capacity to organize work and tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software is beneficial.
• Soft Skills: Exhibit initiative, a strong willingness to learn, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
