What You’ll Actually Do
Prospecting Strategy: Deploy multi-channel prospecting strategies across target accounts, utilizing various communication methods including phone, email, social selling, and in-person events.
Opportunity Building: Partner with Account Executives to build and advance quality opportunities for the Workday field sales team.
Customer Engagement: Contact potential customers to share Workday’s value messaging while uncovering their specific needs and organizational challenges.
Pipeline Generation: Identify and qualify potential buyers to generate a healthy and consistently growing sales pipeline.
Relationship Cultivation: Nurture and develop relationships between prospective accounts and the broader Workday team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of professional or industry-related experience, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience where a degree is not present.
• Experience: At least 1 year in prospecting, inside sales, business development, high-technology environments, marketing, direct sales, or IT consulting.
• Skills: Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with tools such as Salesforce.com, Clari Groove, and ZoomInfo.
• Bonus: Proven ability to identify potential leads, nurture early-stage engagement, and develop a consistent pipeline through outreach; strong relationship-building skills through empathy, effective communication, and trust; willingness to learn and understand customer environments, market trends, and organizational landscapes to position Workday effectively; capability to identify and articulate the unique value of Workday solutions in a way that resonates with different audiences and addresses customer needs; commitment to building confidence with prospects and partners through consistency, integrity, and continuous knowledge development.
