Sales Consultant | Women of the Vine & Spirits
The Tone:
This is a full-time Sales Consultant position at Johnson Brothers Liquor Company, located in Greensboro, NC. Johnson Brothers is a national, family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, providing exceptional service since 1953 and representing the world’s most famous brands. This role is critical to the organization’s success by building customer relationships, providing product knowledge, and performing merchandising activities. The Sales Consultant ensures sales objectives are met by servicing a designated territory.

• Mission: Sell wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to grocery stores and other establishments, achieving sales objectives and maximizing brand visibility in a designated territory.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Achieve sales and merchandising objectives by preplanning strategies, understanding company pricing and programming, and executing established daily routes.
• Account Management: Cultivate relationships with customers by analyzing account opportunities, preparing and delivering professional sales presentations, and ensuring national account compliance.
• Merchandising & Inventory: Maximize brand visibility and product levels within accounts by building displays, maintaining cold boxes, stocking shelves, and working with management on inventory levels.
• Customer Education & Support: Educate account staff on priority brands through training seminars and service accounts by handling customer issues and delivering products in extenuating circumstances.
• Financial Oversight: Manage customer account receivables by timely processing of credits and returns, and communicating with accounts regarding aged receivables.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Strong accounting, computer, customer service, and interpersonal expertise preferred.
• Skills: Results-oriented professional with excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service orientation; proficient PC skills including MS Office and presentation software; valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; understanding of wine and spirits; familiarity with the assigned territory.
