The Tone:
This is a future full-time opportunity at Gusto, with potential start dates in 2026, located in Denver, San Francisco, New York City, or Scottsdale for a subsidiary. Gusto builds comprehensive payroll, health insurance, 401(k), and HR solutions to support small businesses. This role is crucial for engaging early-career sales and onboarding professionals who will guide small businesses through their initial experience with Gusto. All team members are expected to actively use AI tools relevant to their role and develop their fluency as the technology evolves.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Handle high-volume inbound calls, chats, and emails from customers or partners at various stages of their journey.
• Advisory Selling: Serve as a trusted advisor, helping small businesses or accounting partners select the right Gusto solutions for their needs.
• Onboarding Support: Guide customers through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and successful start with Gusto.
• Product Expertise: Demonstrate strong product knowledge and commit to ethical, customer-first selling practices.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate notes and pipeline details in Salesforce to ensure excellent follow-through.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career professionals with a focus on sales or customer service.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role, including working in high-volume inbound and outbound calling environments.
• Skills: Proven success achieving or exceeding goals, maintaining strong customer relationships, a consultative and solution-oriented selling approach, comfort using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, and a commitment to helping small businesses succeed.
