Job Description: Safety Intern/Co-op
This is a dynamic internship and co-op opportunity designed for students who are passionate about construction safety and aspire to build their future in this field. The role focuses on creating safe, efficient, and high-performing job sites.
As a Safety Intern, you will gain practical experience by working side-by-side with experienced safety professionals and project leaders on real heavy civil construction projects located along the East Coast.
What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with safety specialists to actively promote and foster a culture of safety on job sites.
• Assist in training employees on essential safety techniques and established protocols.
• Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, encompassing both field work and project office settings.
• Contribute to real-world solutions aimed at protecting workers and improving overall operational efficiency and safety.
Who They’re Looking For:
• Students who have successfully completed their sophomore or junior year of study in an Occupational Safety and Health, Construction, or Engineering program.
• Strong communicators who possess a genuine passion for learning and a forward-thinking mindset.
• Prior construction or safety internship experience is preferred, but not strictly required.
• Possession of certifications such as OSHA 10-Hour, First Aid, and CPR are a plus.
• Spanish bilingual skills are considered a bonus.
