SAFETY COORDINATOR | Dal-Tile LLC

The Tone:
This is an entry-level, in-person role at Dal-Tile LLC, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, which stands as the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States. This position is integral to the company’s commitment to safety, providing essential support in implementing and maintaining safety policies and programs. The Safety Coordinator directly contributes to an accident-free workplace by actively coordinating and delivering safety training, meticulously keeping records, and ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Through collaboration with various departments, this role is key to minimizing workplace hazards and fostering a strong culture of safety and a healthy work environment for Dal-Tile’s dedicated professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Training Management: Coordinate and deliver safety training, and maintain all related records for employee development and compliance.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to Mohawk and government safety regulations, assisting with facility audits to identify and correct non-compliant practices.
• Record Keeping: Create, organize, and meticulously maintain comprehensive, detailed safety records for the facility and its operations.
• Incident Investigation: Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Safety Monitoring & Consistency: Monitor safety statistics and trends, responding to patterns to maintain a safe environment and communicating with other safety personnel for company-wide consistency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating conceptual knowledge of relevant theories, practices, and procedures.
• Experience: A minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related domain.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, along with the capacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and a high level of integrity in handling confidential data are also required.
