Market Sales Leader Trainee | Bimbo Bakeries USA

The Tone:
This is an entry-level trainee program at Bimbo Bakeries USA, a company renowned for beloved brands like Arnold®, Thomas’®, Sara Lee®, and Entenmann’s® bread and baked goods. As the largest baking company in the world, with over 20,000 associates nationwide, this role is crucial for developing future Market Sales Leaders. The program aims to prepare high-potential, early-career talent to ensure the continued delivery of fresh products and strong customer relationships across the company’s vast sales network.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Completion: Successfully complete all requirements of the six-month Route to Readiness: MSL Development Program, including assessments, development milestones, and readiness evaluations.
• Sales Execution: Support route sales execution through merchandising, inventory management, product freshness, and adherence to operational standards within Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations.
• Relationship Building: Develop and foster productive relationships with customers, route operators, frontline associates, and key cross-functional business partners.
• Leadership Exposure: Gain practical exposure to frontline leadership, including coaching practices, performance management, and strategies for team engagement.
• Business Analysis: Utilize sales tools, business reporting, customer insights, and performance metrics to support decision-making and execution, contributing to market planning and customer service initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent graduate or graduated within the past 24 months with a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; considered an entry-level professional.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, professional, military, volunteer, or community involvement.
• Skills: Strong motivation to build customer relationships and achieve business results; ability to learn and apply sales tools, customer insights, performance data, and operational processes; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar systems; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 is preferred; prior experience in account management, retail, merchandising, sales, operations, or leadership is a plus; an interest in Consumer-Packaged Goods, Direct Store Delivery, customer service, retail execution, and field operations.
