Operations & Finance Leadership Program (Summer 2027 Start) | Castleton Commodities International

The Tone:
This is a two-year rotational program at Castleton Commodities International, located in Stamford, Connecticut, and Houston, Texas. Castleton Commodities International is a leading global energy commodities merchant and infrastructure asset investor with more than 500 employees worldwide. This program is designed to identify and develop the next generation of leaders across Operations, Finance, or within the company’s commercial businesses.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This program aims to develop future leaders across Operations, Finance, and commercial businesses within the global energy commodities market.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in: Up to four six-month rotations across various support functions, including settlements, treasury, credit, and commercial businesses.
• Work on: Special projects focused on strategic initiatives and organizational strategy for the company.
• Gain exposure to: A variety of support functions such as trading operations, tax, enterprise improvement, data management, P&L, and product control.
• Interact with: Leaders from Operations, Finance, and commercial groups to understand different approaches to global market opportunities.
• Receive training: To gain a well-rounded understanding of the industry, as well as leadership and technical skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Physics, or a related field of study, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2027. This is an entry-level program.
• Experience: No specific years required; however, prior internship or exposure to the commodities markets, financial institutions, or consulting is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and technical skills, superior communication skills both verbal and written, excellent attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask and work effectively in a team.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with database management; a desire to make a difference and the ability to be forward-thinking.
