Room Attendant | Sonesta International Hotels
The Tone:
This is a Room Attendant role at Sonesta International Hotels. Sonesta is the 8th largest hotel company in the U.S., experiencing rapid growth with a diverse portfolio of full-service and focused hotels. The company operates owned, managed, and franchised properties across major cities. This role is essential for delivering quality, value, and exceptional hospitality to guests across Sonesta’s 1000+ properties in eight countries.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person
• Team: Works with the Housekeeping Management Team
• Mission: To clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver: Fulfill the promise of Sonesta Service by responding to guest complaints and special requests to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Clean: Service assigned guest rooms or areas according to established brand standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and appliances.
• Manage: Operate commercial washers and dryers, inspect and store linens, monitor laundry supplies, and report any damaged or stained items or equipment issues.
• Maintain: Minimize waste of supplies and amenities, report needed repairs or unsafe conditions, and handle all lost and found items following established procedures.
• Collaborate: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level experience in the hospitality housekeeping domain.
• Experience: Practical experience related to housekeeping duties in a hotel setting, with a preference for previous background from the extended stay industry.
• Skills: Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities.
• Bonus: Some previous housekeeping experience; previous background from the extended stay industry; ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; knowledge of other languages beneficial.
