RF Product Development Intern – Onsite in Niles, IL

This is a twelve-week summer internship program open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in circuitry evaluation, product verification, and product validation
• Work with circuitry in areas like RF amplifiers, mixers, synthesizers, filters, and antennas.
• Assemble prototypes and perform system/sub-system evaluations on wireless transmitters and receivers.
• Evaluate bit error rate, blocking, sensitivity, transmit emissions mask, and overall link performance.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed two years of coursework in Electrical Engineering or related area.
• Coursework in RF areas such as electromagnetics and wireless systems is desired.
• Basic knowledge of wireless communication systems, transmitters, receivers, and wireless system parameters.
• Experience with test and measurement equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers is desired.
• Specialized computer skills – experience with ADS, HFSS, Python is desired.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary based on job function and year in school, ranging from $21-$40 per hour.
• Housing stipend provided for interns who relocate to Illinois for onsite internships.
