What You’ll Actually Do
• Department Management: Oversee the efficient running of the department, ensuring all operations are in strict alignment with Hyatt International’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, while also diligently meeting the expectations of employees, guests, and owners.
• Revenue Accounting Leadership: Provide proactive revenue accounting leadership across the hotel, introducing and implementing robust business best practices to enhance financial performance, efficiency, and compliance.
• Technical Revenue Oversight: Assume full responsibility for managing all technical accounting aspects associated with the hotel’s diverse revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and adherence to established financial protocols.
• Policy & Strategy Guidance: Offer key leadership in the continuous development and strategic management of the hotel’s revenue recognition policies, providing critical direction and oversight for these fundamental financial processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Financial Operations: Regularly interface and foster strong collaboration with the sales, operations, and marketing organizations, while also directly managing all aspects of royalty accounting and invoicing procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A professional at the Manager level, ideally holding a university degree in Strategic Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management. This foundational education should underpin a strong understanding of revenue accounting and recognition principles, crucial for the role.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required in positions such as Revenue Manager, Marketing Manager, or Marketing Analyst, demonstrating a proven track record in revenue-focused or analytical roles.
• Skills: Must possess a distinct strategic orientation, excellent problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex financial scenarios, strong administrative skills for efficient departmental operations, and superior interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Bonus: Possession of an MBA would be considered a significant and valuable asset, enhancing strategic and business acumen for the role.
