Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence: Provides SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) customer service by consistently applying Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures, and programs. This includes actively seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting with product location, demonstration, selection, carrying, and loading.
• Knowledgeable Assistance: Listens attentively and responds promptly and accurately to customer and associate questions. Guides customers to relevant store areas and provides project guidance when necessary.
• Customer Appreciation: Demonstrates genuine appreciation towards all customers.
• Product and Program Information: Communicates detailed information to customers regarding product stock levels, special order merchandise, features, benefits, applications, and warranty details related to Lowe’s programs.
• Transactional Support (Tool Rental Department Specific): Writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs within the Tool Rental Department.
• Cross-Functional Training: Engages in cross-functional training across different store areas to enhance overall customer service delivery.
• Security Awareness: Identifies common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly reports them to management and/or Asset Protection personnel.
• Store Maintenance: Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs, such as Zone Recovery, to maintain a clean and organized store and working environment.
• Safety Compliance: Upholds a safe and secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, ensuring clear aisles, and securing doors and gates. Adheres to all safety requirements pertinent to the job, including top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, using aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, spotters, and other safety devices.
• Equipment Operation: Operates various store equipment as required by the specific role and department, which may include a Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compactor baler, and tool rental equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Computer Proficiency: Less than 1 year of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Retail Technology Acumen: Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Retail Experience: Less than 1 year of retail experience, performing tasks such as identifying and selling products based on customer needs, explaining warranties, product features, and benefits, assisting customers in locating products, building customer relationships, identifying and resolving customer issues, conducting zone recovery, and maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Licensure/Registration: Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
