This job posting is for a Retail Cashier Floater position at Jacksons, a company that values its team members and offers opportunities for growth.
Job Overview:
As a Retail Cashier Floater, you’ll be a flexible and adaptable member of the team, providing coverage and assistance to various store locations within the specified district (Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Renton, Sammamish). Your work location will change daily based on staffing needs due to leaves of absence, vacations, or vacant positions. This role offers the chance to meet new people, learn different store operations, build your reputation, and gain valuable experience. You may also be selected for additional leadership roles.
Pay: $20.70 – $22.20 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Provide fast, friendly service and accurate product information.
• Cashier Duties:
• Ring up sales and merchandise accurately.
• Offer customers applicable discounts/promotions.
• Follow all laws and policies regarding restricted sales of tobacco and alcohol.
• Prepare cashier checkout reports accurately.
• Store Maintenance:
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Properly label, rotate, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to safety guidelines and report accidents or incidents.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Additional Duties:
• Fuel customers’ cars, check engine fluids, and wash customer windows (where applicable).
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Book Floaters Only – Reconcile daily paperwork when covering shifts and completing daily deposits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to stores within the district.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be of legal age to sell restricted products (alcohol and tobacco). NV Only – must be of legal age to work in an establishment with slot machines.
• Willingness and passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in various conditions, including heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes/chemicals.
