The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Universal Studios Hollywood, located in West Hollywood, CA. This Operations Assistant role is integral to supporting the park’s smooth daily functioning, ensuring the secure and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing materials, and contributing directly to a safe and positive experience for both guests and team members.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: West Hollywood, CA
• Pay: $22.50 hourly

What You’ll Actually Do
• Mail & Package Processing: Accurately verify and correct incoming and outgoing mail and packages using available tools and systems, ensuring proper routing and delivery to recipients across the park.
• Logistics & Material Handling: Safely operate a variety of equipment, including golf carts, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, electric carts, manual carts, and dollies, for the efficient delivery, pick-up, drop-off, and receiving of packages and freight from vendors and freight companies.
• Security & Supply Management: Operate X-ray machines to detect possible incoming threats, strictly following established notification processes, and maintain adequate levels of shipping, receiving, and daily operational supplies to ensure continuous functionality.
• Guest & Team Safety: Proactively monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, adhering to all company guidelines and protocols for security and guest well-being.
• Guest Communication & Conflict Resolution: Handle guest inquiries regarding guest recovery or lost & found packages with composure, and professionally identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances to maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the park.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years old or older.
• Experience: Possess a valid CA Class C Driver’s License. Demonstrated ability to operate equipment such as UPS/FedEx machines, X-ray machines, golf carts, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, electric carts, manual carts, and dollies.
• Skills: Effective communication for coordinating deliveries and guest interactions, conflict de-escalation, maintaining a high level of trust and integrity, and upholding safety and security protocols.
