About Dollywood Parks & Resorts

Dollywood Parks & Resorts aims to create memorable experiences for guests visiting their resorts, located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Currently, the resort includes over 600 rooms and 15 Food & Beverage outlets. There are plans to grow to over 1200 rooms across five resorts at Dollywood and to add other resorts to their overall company resort portfolio.

Job Description: Restaurant Host

Dollywood Parks & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Host to provide an excellent dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate will embody the company’s mission of creating memories worth repeating.

Responsibilities Include:

• Checking with the Manager for daily forecast and training objectives.
• Ascertaining the daily specials from the kitchen and communicating them to guests.
• Inspecting the dining room for cleanliness, proper supply levels, and proper staffing.
• Greeting guests with a smile and delivering the welcomed message as trained by the manager.
• Seating guests using systems in place, bringing proper menus, and communicating to servers/bussers.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes.
• Performing service, busser, and runner duties as appropriate.
• Being willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management.
• Using the POS accurately and handling cash and credit card transactions as directed.
• Participating in upsell strategies as directed by management.
• Participating in daily line ups.
• Practicing service standards and current training throughout service.
• Assuming duties of Supervisor in absence or as directed.

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain Food handler certification.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

• Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees.
