Job Description:

New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering is seeking a short-term (6 month) paid Research Intern to work with Prof. Nasir Memon within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Brooklyn, NY. The intern will be responsible for developing new methodologies for secure, robust, and transparent biometric recognition algorithms. They will work in a multidisciplinary environment and a diverse research group. The ideal candidate will be driven, creative, and team-oriented with a passion for developing explainable authentication frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing new methodologies for secure, robust, and transparent biometric recognition algorithms.
• Working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications:

• M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Strong background in AI/ML.
• Experience in biometric algorithm design and evaluation.
• Interest in Generative AI.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $48,000 – $62,499.
