Job Description:
Fujitsu Research of America is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join their Self-Improving ML team in Santa Clara, CA as a Research Intern. The team’s goal is to develop machine learning algorithms that can automatically improve themselves, leading to better accuracy and wider applicability with less training data. As an intern, you will:
• Conduct research on topics such as in-context learning, neural module networks, generalization with limited training data, and AI applications for sustainability.
• Publish research papers in scientific journals and present work at conferences and workshops.
• Collaborate effectively with other researchers.
The internship is for 3 months and is suited for individuals who are passionate about ML research, thrive in environments with ambitious goals, and are driven to contribute to the development of general AI systems for a sustainable future.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a relevant research area for self-improving ML.
• Proven ability to generate new ideas or improve existing ones in machine learning, evidenced by publications or projects.
• Strong collaborative skills and comfort working in a team environment.
