About the Company:
Salesforce Research is seeking outstanding research interns to contribute to their ongoing projects. The research focuses on various areas of Artificial Intelligence, including Conversational AI, Multimodal Data Intelligence, Multimodal Content Generation, Fundamentals of Machine Learning and AI, Responsible & Trusted AI, and Natural Language Processing. These areas are applied to Software Intelligence, AI for Operations, AI for Availability & Security, and Environment & Sustainability. Preference is given to candidates with publications in top-tier AI conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR).
Job Description:
As a research intern at Salesforce Research, you will:
• Collaborate: Work closely with a team of experienced research scientists and engineers on a research project. The goal is to produce results suitable for submission to a top-tier conference.
• Expand Knowledge: Learn about cutting-edge research and applications that extend beyond your existing expertise.
• Focus on Research: Conduct pure research that aligns with your PhD focus area and contributes meaningfully to the broader AI community.
• Conference Participation: Attend conferences with Salesforce Research researchers to present accepted papers.
Requirements:
• Education: Currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant research area (e.g., Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence).
• Deep Learning Expertise: Excellent understanding of deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, GRUs, GANs, attention mechanisms, and optimization methods.
• Deep Learning Tools: Experience with at least one deep learning library/platform (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe, Chainer).
• Technical Skills: Strong background in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning. Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills are essential.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python, Java, C/C++, Lua, or a similar programming language.
• Commitment: The internship requires a minimum commitment of 12 weeks.
