Job Description: Request Analyst
Join the Technology Purchasing team as a Request Analyst and play an integral part in the procurement and negotiation processes for hardware, software, and services within the Publix Technology department.
Responsibilities:
• Procurement: Procure hardware, software, and services to support requests and projects for the Information Systems Department.
• Issue Resolution: Resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, pricing, invoicing, product functionality, support concerns, and contracts.
• Research and Evaluation: Research current models and source new hardware or software for evaluation and testing purposes.
• Vendor Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between Publix and vendors.
• Negotiation: Research historical business with vendors and create a negotiation strategy to analyze current Publix needs and challenges related to the product.
• Stock Level Coordination: Coordinate stock levels with Publix Technology Services (PTS) for hardware approaching the end of its lifecycle to ensure uninterrupted availability for corporate requests and Retail openings.
• Pricing Analysis & Contract Management: Analyze and negotiate pricing with vendors and facilitate the final execution of contract renewals or extensions with proper Publix and vendor executives.
• Compliance: Ensure requested hardware and software align with current Publix certified models/versions.
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of information technology related experience with significant understanding of computer hardware and software
• 1+ years of procurement experience
• Proven negotiation experience
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (O365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and MS Project)
• Knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and purchase order systems
• Knowledge of Publix and industry standard contract language and concepts relating to Information Technology
• Knowledge of contract administration procedures, licensing terms, and legal processes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree in a business or technical related field
• 2+ years of experience in Information Technology procurement experience
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Ariba
